Dreambound Pinnacle: the secret new dungeon in WoW Forever?
Dreambound Pinnacle appeared in the WoW Forever beta client with patch 1.60.1.70291 (8 October 2026), with no announcement. It is not playable yet, and most of it is still encrypted, but the game files already say quite a lot: Dreambound Pinnacle is a new dungeon, and an alpine one. Here is everything we found.

Is Dreambound Pinnacle a dungeon?
Almost certainly. Every area in the game names the music that plays there, and Dreambound Pinnacle's music set is called "1.60 Dungeon - General - Alpine": dungeon music from Forever's own 1.60 content, in its snowy mountain style. It also has an ambience of its own, so it is a finished area with its own sound, not a placeholder.
Where is Dreambound Pinnacle?
The area sits on map 2981, inside a parent zone with the number 16597. Both of those records are in the encrypted part of the client's data, so their names and where you enter them stay hidden until Blizzard ships the key. What we can see is the neighbourhood: map 2980 is Dalaran City and map 2991 is Zephras Isle, the Skyborne starting island, both Forever additions. Map 2981 belongs to the same new batch.
Why is it called Dreambound?
The client also has a spell named Dreambound: a permanent, hidden aura with a placeholder icon. Auras like that are usually how the server marks a player who is inside a place, or on a quest for it. The name points at the Emerald Dream, or at Nightmare-themed content. That part is our guess, and nothing in the files confirms it yet.
When does Dreambound Pinnacle open?
There is no date. The pieces in the client right now are a name, a sound, a map number and an aura, and the map and its zone are still encrypted. That usually means content in the works. When a later patch decrypts it, we will add the dungeon's name, levels, bosses and loot to our WoW Forever dungeon list, and update this post.
What else came with the patch?
Patch 1.60.1.70291 also brought Discord voice chat, gamepad support, Classic-style quest titles, class tuning and a 13 percent smaller client. The full write-up: Patch 1.60.1.70291: what changed. For the dungeons that are already open, and the levels to do them at, see the dungeon timeline.
